NEW DELHI: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel and Motorola have partnered to offer budget friendly 4G smartphones as part of Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. With this, Airtel will be offering cashback of Rs 2000 on select Motorola and Lenovo devices.
The offer is available on Moto C, Moto E4 and Lenovo K8 Note. The smartphones will come bundled with recharge pack of Rs 169 from Airtel offering 1GB 4G data per day and unlimited local and STD calling.
The cashback of Rs 2000 will be given to customers in two instalments over 36 months, the company said. To avail the offer, Airtel customers would be required to make prepaid recharges worth Rs 3500 within the 18 months to be eligible for the first cashback instalment of Rs 500.
Similarly, another set of recharges worth Rs 3500 over the next 18 months will make the customer eligible for the second instalment of Rs 1500, Airtel stated.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Motorola under the ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. It marks a major milestone in our journey towards building a large open ecosystem of affordable smartphone options for our valued customers. We look forward to working with Motorola to bring smartphones within the reach of more and more customers,” said Vani Venkatesh, Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel.
